Top Five Sources of News and Information

My Top Five Sources of News and Information

_______________________________________________________________

Below, in this blog, you will see a ranking of the media outlets that I prefer to read, watch, and listen to in order to receive the latest stories in politics, current events, pop culture, sports, and so much more.

1. Newsmax

Newsmax is one of the fastest growing independent, conservative media outlets in the United States. Since launching in 1998, Newsmax now has over 40 million monthly viewers. My parents and I watch Newsmax TV, on DirecTV channel 349, every night after we get home in the evening. We enjoy watching shows such as Greg Kelly Reports and Rob Schmitt Tonight! Along with these news programs, we have also enjoyed many awesome and extremely informational documentaries, some of which include Socialism in America and Systematic Deception. I ran across Newsmax when I was searching for documentaries for my research paper on socialism and the rest is history. I like this media outlet because of the network's conservative views and willingness to speak on topics and issues frowned upon by most mainstream media outlets. I would recommend Newsmax because they provide news and truth with just the right amount to comedy and sarcasm necessary for a good show!

2. The Daily Caller

The Daily Caller is another conservative news source that I reference a lot. The Daily Caller was founded by one of my favorite political commentaries, Tucker Carlson, and Neil Patel. Founded in 2010, this media outlet covers the breaking news of the day, but also has some great opinion pieces as well. The editors and writers at the Daily Caller write these pieces to share their opinion, but I also believe they do it to spark conversation and get the readers to think a little bit deeper. I would recommend this source to anyone wanting to see the news but also curious about how people think on certain issues, on both sides "of the isle."

3. Fox News

Fox News, probably the most popular conservative news outlet, has been a source of information for me. Fox News used to be my main source for news online and on TV, but as off lately Fox hasn't been the same in my opinion. Since the 2020 election, Fox News has fallen in my rankings for personal reasons. And as of lately, I believe because of some change in ownership, for the most part, this outlet has given President Trump the "cold shoulder" and somewhat turned on him. But not everyone has turned on him and folded when it comes to important topics and issues within US politics and policies. My three favorite shows to watch whenever I get a chance are Tucker Carlson Tonight, Justice with Judge Jeanine, and Hannity. I would recommend Fox News because they are very well established and have a great variety of shows depending on what's your style. And the website has a large range of topics to look up and search for.

4. The Daily Signal

The Daily Signal is a conservative news outlet that was more recently founded in 2014. Its parent company is The Heritage Foundation, a think tank that informs and teaches constitutionality and the founding principles of America established by the Founding Fathers. I enjoy reading news articles on this website. I also enjoy listening and watching The Daily Signal's podcasts; my favorite is Problematic Women. I would recommend the Daily Signal and the Heritage Foundation because of their angle on current event and issues and their Christian undertone being that America was founded with Judeo-Christian values. The Daily Signal shows me how I can look at life and events from a lens of moral truth and constitutionality.

5. Blaze Media

Blaze Media is a conservative media outlet whose demographic is mostly Generation Z and Millennials. Blaze is one of the United States' largest independent media outlets. I enjoy watching Blaze for its creative video series about unknown and forgotten US political history and how it applies to our generation in modern society. I would recommend Blaze because they have many well-known ambassadors that come from many different arenas such as sports, politics, and pop culture, and combine that expertise with their conservative point of view. Some of my favorite podcasts are Fearless with Jason Whitlock, Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey, and Freedom's Disciple with Jonathan Dunne.
